About

LEAPS is a successful and unique widening participation programme, funded by its higher education institution and local council partners to increase progression to higher education. We aim to encourage and advise students who are traditionally under-represented in higher education (at college or university) and we currently work with state secondary schools throughout South East Scotland, supporting pupils who match LEAPS eligibility criteria.

LEAPS delivers the Scottish Funding Council’s Schools for Higher Education Programme (SHEP) in South East Scotland, in partnership with the National Schools Programme.

LEAPS is also supported by Skills Development Scotland.

Please watch our What is LEAPS? Presentation here to find out more about LEAPS. You can also take a look at our website to discover more about the work that we do and you can read our latest annual report here.

We are always developing new activities, and welcome new ideas, so please contact us if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
