This blog provides contact details for Scotland's universities and some local colleges too.

Universities and colleges are always really happy to hear from any prospective students so please don't hesitate to get in touch with them if you have any questions. For example, you may have questions about entry requirements, course content, accommodation, support available to students, funding and more.

When emailing a university or college, we encourage you to include:

A clear explanation of your question or query
Your name and school
If you are LEAPS eligible, mention your LEAPS eligibility in your email, and we suggest also mentioning which LEAPS eligiblity criteria you meet*. You can read more about LEAPS eligiblity criteria here

*Some students will be eligible for a lower (minimum) offer on the basis of contextual factors. LEAPS eligibility sometimes, but not always, counts towards this, as do other factors - for example, school attended, postcode, experience of care and more. Universities may call this 'contextual admissions', 'adjusted offers' or 'widening access' and they all have further details on their website. LEAPS can help you to understand this too.

If you are LEAPS eligible, you will have a 1:1 Pre-UCAS Interview with a member of the LEAPS team between August and November of your S6. This is an opportunity to talk through your college and university plans together. At this stage, LEAPS may submit a pre-application enquiry to a university on your behalf to query if you'd be likely to receive an offer.
