Editing your UCAS Personal Statement

This year we are making our LEAPS resources to help you refine your UCAS Personal Statement available online!

The Personal Statement is an important part of the UCAS application process. This is where you can showcase to the admissions tutors your personality, passion for your subject, and your skills and experiences which make you suitable for the course.

We encourage you to work through these materials once you have written the first draft of your Personal Statement. You will need your Personal Statement open in front of you, so that you can edit and refine it while you watch this video. (Haven’t started your Personal Statement? No problem! You can check out our blog post about Starting your UCAS Personal Statement here.)

Editing Techniques from the Royal Literary Fund

We are pleased to include a presentation from the Fellows at the Royal Literary Fund on how to put the person into your Personal Statement writing.
