1.18 Patersons Land, Holyrood Campus, University of Edinburgh, at 14:30. The event will finish at 16:00.

Any volunteer from any university can take part! We are just looking for friendly and talkative volunteers who are keen to share their experience on the transition to university. The aim is for volunteers to support our LEAPS Transitions students feel more confident about their next steps in progressing to university.

The LEAPS Transitions Course is a Bridging Programme that S6 LEAPS Eligible students take part in as part of their S6 timetable to support their transition into university study.

This session focusses on supporting students with their next steps to prepare them for university study. We will be offering a number of sessions for students to pick from. Volunteers will be asked to help with signposting students to their sessions and then supporting the delivery of specific sessions. The sessions on offer that we are looking for volunteer support in are as follows-

• Academic Support at University – What is available and how to access this
• Digital Literacy at University – The best way to communicate with lecturers, how to submit assessments and more
• The Student Experience – How to get the most out of university life (sports and societies, managing time, wellbeing etc.)
• The College Route to University – Options / routes for students and hearing about the experience of Volunteers
