Wednesday 4 March, S3 on campus, University of Edinburgh, 9:00-12:30 - FULL

We will meet LEAPS volunteers in room 1.16 Teaching Studio at of the University of Edinburgh’s Lister Learning and Teaching Centre, 5 Roxburgh Pl, Edinburgh EH8 9SU at 09:00. Here we will give a briefing and outline your role before the school group visiting arrives. The event will finish at 12:30.

Any volunteer from any university can take part! You will be accompanied by a LEAPS member of staff so no prior knowledge of the University of Edinburgh is required - just enthusiasm for the student experience!

This event is for S3 pupils from Gracemount High School. This is the youngest age group we work with, with the event designed to give the opportunity for the pupils to see a university campus for themselves and interact with current university students.You will accompany a group of S3 pupils along with a LEAPS member of staff around the campus and share your experiences of university/student life as you walk round key facilities university students use.

You will get a 15-20 minute break after the tour and then pupils will prepare a short presentation based on the photos and information they gathered while on the campus tour. We will finish by 12:30 when the school leaves the campus.
